Our Story
Draped in Heritage began with a simple, meaningful gift.
After the birth of her child, founder Ruchira received a handcrafted robe from Jaipur from her husband, Deepak. It was soft, beautiful, and deeply comforting — the kind of everyday object that stays with you, not because it is extravagant, but because it feels personal.
That moment sparked a question: what if traditional craftsmanship could be shared through pieces designed for modern daily life?
What began with a bathrobe grew into a collection of handcrafted tote bags, textiles, and accessories made to be used, loved, and lived with every day.
A Note from Ruchira
I've always believed the things we use every day should feel special. Draped in Heritage is my way of sharing that feeling through handcrafted pieces that bring beauty, comfort, and story into daily life.
Our Craft
Our collections draw inspiration from textile traditions practiced across India, including hand block printing, Bandhej tie-dye, and Shibori. These techniques bring texture, variation, and individuality that mass production cannot replicate.
We currently work with artisan partners in Jaipur, with plans to expand across more craft regions over time.
